Property details

Gordon Country is a 4000 acre private camping ground located 160km (2hrs 15min) southwest of Brisbane, near Goombura in Warwick shire, just past Cunningham’s gap off the Cunningham Highway.

It provides both cabin and campsite locations within a lightly forested property on the Dalrymple creek.

Men's Camp Map

Road access is off the Invermay road and is suitable for 2 wheel drive vehicles. Potable water is available from tanks near the main entrance at the park office (owner’s house). However the creeks and dams within the property are not safe for drinking.

Cabin accommodation is basic with users needing to provide their own bedding, pillows or sleeping bags. Cabins are within a minutes’ walk of the ablutions block and have BBQ’s with cooking utensils. However users must provide their own gas bottles for the BBQ’s.

WE will be staying at the PLATYPUS campsite – which is directly behind the CAMP OFFICE – which is the first building you will see on your left when you arrive at the GORDON country property.

There is a convenience store 2km from the camp ground if we run short of any basics.

Each vehicle is $10 per vehicle.

If you want to go four wheeling then its $30 per vehicle.

Dates

Cost

$95 (Adult) | $75 (Child)

Transportation and Equipment

Vehicle access is good. If we have large numbers we will hire a bus.

The trip is 164km from Brisbane’s CBD, needing about 2 hrs 15min driving time. The majority of the drive will be along the Cunningham Highway.

Not everyone will have their own camping equipment. Where possible we should be able to provide the majority of equipment from members of the congregation.  I would encourage all participants to bring their own plate, bowl, basic utensils and cup plus bedding and camp chair (one only).

Weather and Environmental risks

Bring your own medication of course.
